Official proposal for the 2023 Joan Oró Year to be commemorated and appointment of the renowned astrophysicist and science communicator, Joan Anton Català, as Centenary Curator.

The Monitoring Committee for the commemoration of the centenary of the birth of the scientist Joan Oró has agreed to submit a proposal to the presidency of the Commemorations Commission to request that the year 2023 be the object of commemoration of the centenary of the birth of the scientist Joan Oró and in this way highlight, recover and disseminate the memory of the illustrious biochemist from Lleida.

In turn, the Joan Oró Foundation has proposed to appoint the renowned astrophysicist and science communicator Joan Anton Català as Curator for the organisation of the Joan Oró Year. Joan Anton Català combines his professional activity with an intense task of scientific dissemination.
